quartz

Quartz countertops are man-made engineered stone countertops formed by combining 90% ground quartz (a natural hard mineral) with 8-10% resins, polymers, and pigments. This forms a very hard granite-like surface. The appearance depends on how the quartz is ground: coarsely ground quartz produces a flecked appearance, while finely ground quartz produces a smooth look.
Extremely hard and durable; glossy sheen; non-porous and stain-and-crack resistant; does not require sealing or resealing; wide range of colors; easy to clean with mild soap, water, and a soft cloth.

GRANITE

Formed over millions of years from compressed molten rock under the Earth's surface, granite is extremely hard and durable.
With its heat-resistant qualities, granite doesn't blister; it's also unlikely to scratch or chip. When used for kitchen countertops, it's far superior to marble, synthetic and laminate. It's also better-looking and has a luminous, dimensional quality when polished.

MARBLE

People like marble primarily for its beauty. It has an elusive quality of softness not normally found in stone, and the delicate patina it develops over time conveys an elegant and sophisticated look. However, even though marble is softer than granite, it is still a very durable material, suitable for use a bathroom and kitchen countertops. Most people recognize marble from the veining. Marble stone has a wider range of color than most people know, but whether it is white or black marble, the veins are there. The color of the visible veins ranges in color from white to gray, depending on the color of the base stone and the type of impurities in the stone.

Quartzite

Harder than granite, so it is quite durable. It withstands heat very well.
Ease of maintenance is the main advantage quartz countertops have over quartzite. In any event, as with all countertops, it is advisable to use cleaners designed for your type of surface.
